ANZAAE Conference is a gathering in Aotearoa New Zealand of Art Educators and practitioners, from all levels of the curriculum, from throughout Aotearoa, New Zealand.

After an enriching and immersive conference in April 2025 at Wintec | Te Pūkenga - City Campus | Kirikiriroa, Hamilton, the next ANZAAE National Conference will be held 14^th -16^th of April 2027 between the two campuses - Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland (UoA) and Auckland University of Technology Te Wānanga Aronui o Tāmaki Makau Rau (AUT). Your hosts are Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland (UoA) and Auckland University of Technology Te Wānanga Aronui o Tāmaki Makau Rau (AUT) situated in the central Auckland CBD. 

Vendors and institutions will be onsite, showcasing products and providing resources to support and inspire.

ANZAAE Conference is three days of interactive, collegial sharing of ideas and building of skills for Visual Arts practitioners and educators in early childhood, primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors.  Conference delegates will have plenty to do, see and talk about when they leave, with new skills, strategies, ideas and a stronger sense of identity, community, and connection.  

ANZAAE National Conference is traditionally an opportunity to reconnect with our national Visual Art Education community from early childhood through to tertiary. It’s like a big family reunion!  We share our skills, insights, talents and knowledge to enrich and inspire each other so that we can return to our classrooms with new experiences and knowledge to share with our students. This cyclical sharing of knowledge and skills is what has inspired our Kaupapa for 2027.

Alongside keynote presenters, who will challenge and encourage teachers and practitioners, will be presenters who are leading the way sharing inspiring classroom activities and innovative approaches to take away and share with your colleagues.
