Tēnā koutou, Welcome to the ATSNZ Disability Expo Call for Abstract Submission Portal

This is your opportunity to share your experience, expertise, insights and knowledge with the attendees of the ATSNZ Disability Expo.

We are looking for presentations for both the Auckland and Christchurch locations that present real-life case studies, focusing on the outcomes rather than a product/service. You can choose the location that you wish to present at when you get to the "Presentation Type" field as part of the submission process.

Abstracts are welcomed from a range of people including:

  • those with a disability
  • impacted by a disability
  • researchers
  • clinicians
  • service providers
  • policy makers
  • occupational therapists
  • physiotherapists
  • other allied health professionals.

Please find outlined below some suggested topics which the programme committee are interested in receiving abstracts on, however they would also love to receive submissions on any other topics which fall outside of these suggestions:

  • Assistive Technology developments e.g. emerging technologies, research, regulatory changes and Government information.
  • Research and clinical instruction, best practice guidelines, techniques for assessment or Government information.
  • Community accessibility e.g. accessible sport, tourism etc.
  • Real life experiences of those impacted by a disability - whether it's your own disability or a significant other/family member.
  • Research/case studies on how assistive technologies improve mental health.
  • Innovations in evidence-based approaches to the treatment, rehabilitation and overall care of people with a disability.

Presentation slots are between 30 - 45 minutes each. We will work with successful submissions to confirm the timings of each individual presentation.
