On behalf of the MacDiarmid Institute for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology and the AMN12 organising committee, it’s our pleasure to welcome you to Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland, New Zealand, for the 12th International Conference on Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology. We’re excited to see AMN return a second time to this vibrant city, a place where innovation thrives.
AMN12 will bring together materials scientists, chemists, physicists, biologists and engineers for four days at the frontier of advanced materials. We’ll be inspired by topics ranging from catalysis at the nanoscale and sustainable materials to quantum architectures and stimuli-responsive dynamic systems - fostering cross-disciplinary conversations to spark new ideas.
Highlights of the program include:
Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland is New Zealand’s largest city and well-connected to international travel routes, as well as being the gateway to the rest of the country and its many tourist attractions. Auckland, the “City of Sails,” provides an inspiring backdrop for AMN12 with its twin harbours, volcanic cones and lush green spaces framing a natural laboratory for creativity. Discover a cosmopolitan metropolis where world-class research centres and a thriving start-up ecosystem sit alongside vibrant Māori culture. Savor diverse culinary delights, from waterfront seafood and hāngi feasts to global flavours, then unwind on golden beaches or explore nearby islands in a single afternoon.
Here’s to making AMN12 a springboard for your next big research discovery!
