General Manager - Forests to Timber Products at Scion
Henri’s early passion for trees grew from growing up in Landes Forest in the Southwest of France. It led him to study forest management, become an engineer in the wood industry and technology and later obtain a PHD in wood science. His scientific and technical career has involved multiple disciplines in project delivery in the forestry sector that has spanned several continents with many diverse cultures.
His career in Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) for the forest-wood chain in Europe, Australia and several other countries have provided rich experience in RD&I activities and progressing bio-circular development.
Henri is currently the General Manager for Forests to Timber Products at Scion. The research initiatives in this impact area support the sector to identify new opportunities and increase value capture from forest to product. A key to this role is enabling the forestry sector and industry partners to navigate the current environment, identify sustainable pathways that increase productivity and address new and potential risks.
