The Gathering event is your opportunity to reconnect with industry friends and make new connections while enjoying wonderful food and drinks in an amazing venue.

For the 2025 Conference, the Gathering will be held at Scion on Thursday 18 September - Scion is New Zealand's leading Crown Research Institute in forestry, industrial biotechnology and advanced manufacturing. They specialise in research and technology driving innovation for forestry, wood product, wood-derived materials, and other biomaterial sectors.

As part of The Gathering you will also hear from a senior Scion staff member who will talk to you about the building, its construction and the activities that take place at Scion. You will also have the opportunity to take a guided tour of Scion and see first hand Scion in action.

Coach transport to The Gathering will depart from the Energy Events Centre at 5pm.
